The hostel is located in what was once Piteå’s first hospital and is surrounded by the beautiful park grounds of Badhusparken. Guests are accommodated in double or multiple-bed rooms. Badhusparken is just a stone’s throw away from the centre and holds a loppis (flea market) in its grounds every week. The foundation of modern day Piteå is Öjebyn, a church village originating from the 15th century. The village is made up of cabins that were used to accommodate church visitors from afar, and a church market is still held here each summer according to old tradition. Piteå also has a fantastic archipelago which offers genuine cultural environments and wonderful swimming spots with daylight 24-hours a day – at least during summer. The Storforsen rapids are an hour inland, and a wonderful place to visit. | Quick
